rmI keep forgetting to mention I lost one of my rings at fencing. I have two rings I've worn forever (since I was a child), but I always take them off for fencing or any other activity where it seems like a bad idea to have them on (although I see people in fencing wearing big honking watches, so what do I know), and shove them in the small pouch of my bag. After lass class only one reemerged, so the other must have slipped out. I'll either find it at the salle or I won't. Considering a recent remark on them, and the fact that its customary to give things in exchange for plants taken or blades gifted, *shrug* I can't be that sad about it, but it is worth noting.
I made a good dent in the holiday shopping yesterday, and will finish it tomorrow with Marrilyn. I'm so burnt out, I've taken it off the schedule today. Brief coffee with Kali, seeing Pan's Labrynth, and a particularly surreal holiday errand is probably the absolute max of what I can manage, since I also have to write my![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
yuletide pinch hit tonight, and get much of the Descensus Christmas spectacular prepped.
Truth be told, I feel like I'm never going to have a single spare moment for myself again. Maybe in mid-January?
And despite listening to Helium Vola's Selig on repeat, I still have the shitty Christmas song from Love Actually stuck in my head.

Date: 2006-12-22 05:32 pm (UTC)I'm sorry about your ring. We're told "You can't take it with you," but there are some things we bring along as far as possible. One of the joys of my adult life was the discovery of eBay - so many cherished treasures (http://www.sff.net/people/K-Mac/images/TX913_Cameron_Mushroom.jpg) I thought I'd never see again, I have found there.
I've also had things turn up oddly long after and far away from where I thought them last seen, so be of good cheer - it may yet fall out of a sock...
