In my neighborhood lives the ugliest dog in the world. We call him TuskDog, and he looks essentially like a cross between a terrier, a pug, and well, a wild boar. TuskDog is tall, but small, and has a pushed in face and beedy eyes. His lower jaw is much larger than his upper jaw and from it protrudes large tusks, hence the name.

Today's TuskDog sighting was in Criff Dogs where he whined at me for some of my hotdog. Go TuskDog Go!

TuskDog remarkably is part of a household.

And Criff Dogs often has dogs in it, usually small. They have two weiner dogs that visit regularly and fight over hotdogs.

I think if a Midwesterner saw a dog in a restaurant they'd have a cardiac event of some time.

It's not legal here, but lots of places that are even less cultured than diners will let in small or well-behaved dogs. Also, some restaurants have little water troughs with spigots outside, for dogs that sit with their owners at outdoor sidewalk cafes.

I like the outdoor spigot idea! That's very cool.
