I think the article is correct that female actors face less drama about this, but, unless you're very traditionally beautiful, if you're a gay woman you have to work twice as hard to convince people you're attractive, which is a big part of the game.

Hi there!

I'm still amazed that ANYONE faces drama about this anymore! Especially in Hollywood! Especially when you pause to think about how many gay actors have managed to hone their craft to an expert level simply by acting like a heterosexual in front of their friends and family for so long!! If T.R. Knight can convince me that he's got the hots for both Callie Torres AND Meredith Grey, he's a better actor than I gave him credit for!! :D

I wonder what would happen if an actor came out as bisexual? Would casting directors think: "Okay, well he likes girls too, so I don't have to worry about his chemistry with a female lead..."?

I like George Clooney's tactic. Date a bunch of people of both sexes until the tabloids stop caring. :)
