I think the article is correct that female actors face less drama about this, but, unless you're very traditionally beautiful, if you're a gay woman you have to work twice as hard to convince people you're attractive, which is a big part of the game.

Especially when you pause to think about how many gay actors have managed to hone their craft to an expert level simply by acting like a heterosexual in front of their friends and family for so long!! If T.R. Knight can convince me that he's got the hots for both Callie Torres AND Meredith Grey, he's a better actor than I gave him credit for!! :D
I wonder what would happen if an actor came out as bisexual? Would casting directors think: "Okay, well he likes girls too, so I don't have to worry about his chemistry with a female lead..."?
I like George Clooney's tactic. Date a bunch of people of both sexes until the tabloids stop caring. :)
