rmYup, it's another post about Elliot Smith being dead.
I don't own any Elliott Smith CD's and am not a fan or not. His whole deal has never really been a part of my personal vibe, but Michael used to listen to him in the car, all the time, and I remember a lot of hours in the dark, looking for parking hating him to the lines of "I'm never going to know you now, but I'm going to love you anyhow" and thinking about shit that isn't really your business.
Actually, you know... there's no real need to map this story -- those who know know, and those who don't... I once wasted a hell of a lot of time on alchemy with no good purpose.
After deleting several long posts last night (not about Elliot Smith, I might add) because they were inarticulate and imprecise, I feel relieved to have done so. Because to name a thing is to make it real, and last night I couldn't manage to name something despite my best efforts, and that's just weak.
