what I look like now

The fellow who I comissioned the art from took several snaps of me. For those of you who don't know me in person, you haven't seen what I look like since my celiac diagnosis or since I started fencing. You can't really see my amazing arms and thighs here, but I'm still thrilled to have these pretty casual random snaps. Everything is different now and it means a lot to be able to show you so:

I can see the difference, even without the best showing-off of muscles; you're more defined, your color is better, and your stance more confident (although the last one especially is a variable greatly dependent on how you choose to stand, and I doubt your last modeling shots were requesting quite that much ballsy confidence, sadly).

And the low ponytail works well. All good.

Damn. You once referred to yourself as having a body that could stop traffic, and indeed you do. That said, the third one is my favorite. So precocious.

Did you find that you lost or gained weight after your ciliac diagnosis? My father and sister both gained weight as the amount of nutrition making it into their systems increased, but lost the bloating and so appeared slimmer and healthier.

While I was really sick and waiting to be diagnosed, I lost of a lot of weight, probabyl about 20 lbs. And I've onyl gained about 15 of it back, somewhat to my surprise. As I assumed my inability to absorb nutrition properly would mean I would gain weight now. But everythign I've been putting on is muscle, since I started the intense physical activity about three months after going gluten-free.

That's really the big difference now -- I build muscle and no matter how much activity I did before, I never did.

The first thing I notice is that you look more confident, more comfortable both with your body and with the space is takes up, than you have in previous pictures. You look happier than I have ever seen you, your smile more natural, your body more relaxed.

With regard to the celiac, I can see the difference in your skin.

And also, you look totally hot in these pictures. Seriously, these are the hottest, sexist pics of you I have ever seen, and I've seen mane of the old cheesecake/naked ones. Like, wow. I can't stop looking at your stomach (and I hate your badge in the second pic because it blocks my view.) Yum.
