Life is thrilling.
I'm exhausted.
Wow, that vampire show on Lifetime is bad, and I never, ever wanted to see how Julian Sands aged -- not that it was awful, but that it shatters a childhood illusion.

Dude, was there a vampire show on Lifetime tonight? I love those cheesy things.

It's a new series.
Cops.
can't figure out who the vampire is to the girl who worries about him though, as I've only seen him sleeping with other people.

Oh, man! Is that the one based on the the Laurell K. Hamilton books? I keep seeing posters for it, but her Anita Blake series got so terrible before I stopped reading it that I fear for what this series must be like.

I'm not sure actually.

I think it must be. How many new shows about female cops and their vampire friends could there be?

You'd be surprised. I thought I'd heard they were going to make a TV show based on Tanya Huff's Vicky Nelson series. Is the vampire a bastard of Henry VIII, and the show set in Canada? If so, I may have to wait until it's on DVD. Cheesy vampire shows are the best.

(Meta note - the spinoff series for Vicky Nelson involves the street punk she and the vampire help. He becomes a production assistant in Vancouver to a campy vampire cop show. Perhaps a Forever Knight analoge)

It's the other one :) The show is Blood Ties, based on the Tanya Huff novels, and about half of the characters in the books are poly, one way or another, so there's some bed-hopping. I think she started writing before Laurell K. Hamilton, actually.

I haven't seen the show (no cable) but the books are very pleasant.
