This is both incredibly understandable and incredibly damning and is the best reason for exodus I've seen.

Date: 2007-06-02 05:48 am (UTC)What I do have a problem with is that this clearly wasn't a "good intentions gone awry" thing. This was "shit! IPO, let's nuke everything we can find that might upset people -- and then aside from using WfI's completely fucked list, they added 100 random groups of their own. They went out looking, not for pedophils, but legit LJ users to sacrifice to this cause without warning and then intentionally did it when they thought no one would notice.
