I was just going to write a letter to the editor, but maybe I should be submitting an op-ed instead? I dunno. It feels like a longer-shot but an Opportunity. Afterall, I tell stories and write about stories for a living, and I've been creating on-line content since 1990 -- when I was a teenager.

You might be better off pitching it to Salon. I'd love to see it in the Times but you might have better luck getting it out there or on Alternet.

Ah, this sounds like a good idea. I expect that if the Times were likely to run the op-ed or rebuttal, they probably wouldn't have run the puff piece in the first place. (And I'm tempted to call it a "hit piece", honestly.)

Broadsheet would probably be happy to run whatever you (talking to [livejournal.com profile] rm, not [livejournal.com profile] drfardook) want to write about this. I just wonder if that isn't too much "preaching to the choir"?
