- speaking of Torchwood two things:
1. Out of Time is a bloody stellar episode. It's extremely well-written to the acting talents of the cast, and the show even when it is well-written (which is certainly not always the case) doesn't always write with the strengths and weaknesses of its performers in mind. Pretty much a perfect episode though.
2. Okay. I now know at least two people who have ordered in pizza as Torchwood. Seriously? I still feel guilty when I have to give a fake name because my real one is too hard for them to get a handle on. I feel like I'm missing out on some common insanity. Do you give the pizza people strange names and in-jokes when you get delivery?

Ahem.
I'm agreeing with a lot of the "Palin writes herself" commentary. I have a lot of trouble actually looking at who she is directly without going completely batshit angry. She's like a perfect storm of "WTF?!" for me. Cynical political choice on McCain's part? Check. Pot v. Kettle on the 'experience' issue? Check. "I won't discuss it until I know what the VP does?" Check. Orwellian double-speak on the issue of reproductive choice? ZOMGITHINKIJUSTBURSTINTOFLAMESCHECK.
I think...I think I need to lie down.
Regarding pizza-as-Torchwood, it's virtually always delivery via the internet. I've never had someone get the reference that I know of, but I also have a Torchwood decal on the back of my car, so maybe they assume I'm running a business or something. Then again, I'm not really that fussed about the fake name thing either. I just think it's funny, especially if I do it on episode nights, or if I'm wearing a suit when I do it.
