rmI am fascinated that everyone has gone mad for the 1920s - 1940s of a sudden. Some of what it is about is obvious, but some of it -- I can't figure it out.

(I am annoyingly optimistic that SF&F not only had the power to save my life, it has the power to save the world. Whether the world wishes to be saved or not.)
And any interest in the past, however feeble, has got to be a good thing, no?
