  • NY'ers: is someone you like and trust cleaning your apartment? Are they looking for one or two more clients? We're looking for someone for our place and a friend has just lost their person to the rest of their life being over-scheduled. Once a week for our friend's place, probably once every other for ours.

  • Has anyone else experienced their whole computer freezing and not even doing ctrl-alt-escape when gmail calls to the server for mail? It happened at work for a few hours yesterday and then once again already this morning. Not amused.

  • Hey, I really, really have to do my taxes tonight.

  • God, the Torchwood cast is like one giant curtains!fic lately. Good on them. (and, tangentally, thank you to [livejournal.com profile] cruentum for the scans that just arrived in my email.

  • I now have a Dreamwidth account (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] thaddeusfavour). I've not much set it up yet, but I'm [livejournal.com profile] rm over there too, much to my immense relief. In the short term, the journals will mirror/push to each other. In the long term, who knows. I view it as a disaster preparedness plan.

I'm getting it on Linux as well, but had been blaming either Facebook or the Adobe plugin. Perhaps I should just shuffle all my mail off to my Blackberry.

I'm only noticing it during peak business hours.

Has anyone tried contacting Gmail on this?

This just happened tonight. We weren't in gmail, but I am noticing an adobe plugin in the Start Up List.

Is there an unholy combo the adobe thing and something else that does it then?

Strike that. I did due IT diligence and asked Mr Nice User Man Who Insisted He Was Only Looking At LJ if he had been at Gmail, and the answer is yes. *head desk* I love the end user, I do, especially when I love with him. Repeat to self, love him, no really :D

Thanks for the specific information that let me nail him down on an answer.

Oh well, obsessively cleaning the Photoshop machines is never a bad idea, the temp files get nasty on it.

But we do have an adobe thing in the start menu too, which I've been eyeballing and wondering if he let Adobe install something to view some documents or something.
