Ipod -- everything on it is GONE.

More specifically all it does is flash a circle with a line through it and say "do not disconnect," which I've never seen it do before.

Will it know to restore automatically when I get home? I sort of have to disconnect it from this computer here, as I can't restore on here? Do I have to go to Tekserve? Why does this happen?

ETA: Weird, I button mashed and now it's fine.

It's Mercury .. I have had no less than four customers in this week for the same thing .. they've all responded to the hard reset so far. Let me know if it doesn't ...

Yeah, it totally did. I've had to hard reset before, but never for an error like that -- normally just it locking up. It even flashed a mesage saying I needed to resync it with ITunes before it seemed to wipe itself.

I had to download iTunes 8 onto a customer's laptop (pc) for her this afternoon and that seemed to help; do you have the latest version?
