request for recs
Feb. 24th, 2004 08:59 amI need a cheap, reliable, no drama hosting service that will makes things as uncomplex as possible for me in terms of registering a domain name and allowing me to update my site via FTP whenever, and in terms of not dinging me on transfer fees. I Google, and 8-billion things come up, and it's too much for my poor little brain.

Date: 2004-02-25 05:37 pm (UTC)- Despite the vaguely mixed review from your customer, I was extremelly close to using your service anyway, as you do have the features I desire. However, your posting here has been weird and inappropriate, and made me choose not to go with your service. Had you refuted his statements with a clear discussion of the situation, and a request to quote from the private communication, this would not have been an issue for me.
- It has always been considered a grave violation of Internet ettiquette to post private emails in public spaces, without obtaining prior consent from the originator of the content, regardless of the lack, or not, of "sensitive" information in the communication in question.
- Your handling of this situation has violated both basic business and Internet ettiquette, and shows a profound lack of understanding of the nature of public relations.
- Once again, this is a request for you to take your amateurish, unprofessional behavior out of my journal. All further communication from you will be deleted without comment.
