When I visited Ireland they were having a pretty horrifying national debate on whether to legalize divorce.

But this is lovely.

During the first Prop 8 debate, there was a commercial like this in the US. I believe the woman in that one was named Megan. Really really good ad.
Sad that the most effective ads for marriage equality are the ones that don't show any queer people, but not all that surprising.

I also liked how they framed it as civil marriage too, which will, hopefully, bypass the religious rhetoric.

Ireland legalised divorce back in 1995. It's distressingly recent compared to many other places, but it was partly due to the underlying religious issues that still lurked despite the church and state no longer being joined at the hip. :/
