Continuing Sherlock re-watch for scholarship.

The line that makes the whole series work for me on a personal level is this:


Mycroft: You're not haunted by the war, Dr. Watson. You miss it. Welcome back.



SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. The delivery and direction of that moment is just breathtaking.

Almost more than Cumberbatch's Holmes I love Freeman's Watson. The angle of him craving the stimulation/peril of war makes his willingness to work with Holmes and tolerate his eccentricities more plausible and more interesting.
