SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. The delivery and direction of that moment is just breathtaking.

Thank you for warning me of the same a few weeks ago. Knowing that I should just go with cursing it from the beginning made it a much more relaxing experience and let me enjoy the good bits.

I'm dreading having to watch it again. It's just a hot mess on so many levels.

tnh's theory is that they found an old script from the 1950s or 1960s, and someone adapted it; I think she might be right.

I was warned about it, too, and it made it much easier to watch it than going in blindly would have. (Also, I could see my friends, who'd watched it before, out of my peripheral vision, and anticipate the bad parts from their cringing.)

Yes, I'd already seen it by the time I commented and although there were a few good bits here and there, it indeed was mostly awful. Which is kind of confusing, because the first ep is SO GREAT. It's good to get confirmation that it wasn't just me thinking "Um... where did the really good show go?" though!
