Continuing Sherlock re-watch for scholarship.

Thank you for warning me of the same a few weeks ago. Knowing that I should just go with cursing it from the beginning made it a much more relaxing experience and let me enjoy the good bits.

[livejournal.com profile] tnh's theory is that they found an old script from the 1950s or 1960s, and someone adapted it; I think she might be right.

I was warned about it, too, and it made it much easier to watch it than going in blindly would have. (Also, I could see my friends, who'd watched it before, out of my peripheral vision, and anticipate the bad parts from their cringing.)
