Having some post show blues, mainly because there's all that energy, and then you go home, and you're just like everyone else. We had massive problems with the sound levels tonight and I completely mangled a lighting cue, but I did recover, and despite having to really take a moment to compose myself after the show, I think it did, if I step back from it for a moment, go really well. The audience was certainly enthused.

We're resetting all the levels tomorrow afternoon and running all the dance sequences with lights tomorrow before the show, so that should help a lot.

We all got gift bags of stuff from Kheils and what not, so that was a nice surprise as well. In a bit, I'll get motivated enough to make dinner. Listening to "I'll Fly Away" on the discman while grocery shopping at midnight after the first preview of the biggest show I've been involved with, was, well, grounding if nothing else. So was my little impromptu wander around Times Square while listening to 2HB.

And a good friend who's been out of touch called during the show (the phone was off, I swear, I just got the voicemail afterwards), so I sat in the empty dressing room for a bit chatting with him before cleaning the house. 'Twas a good thing.
I just fielded a ton of phone calls in the shower -- including show stuff, parents and a friend from LJ who has been particularly enthusiastic about the ways in which my focus comes into being -- sorry I was so incoherent and babbly man, I had shampoo in my hair and a mask thingy on my face. It was quite grizly.

In other news, they have the digital voice recorder I want on Ebay really cheap. Not only that, but they have the next model up pretty affordably too. So tempting, especially as I was playing with one in Best Buy the other day. Would definitely help me both as a stage manager and as a writer -- at minimum it would make my pockets lie flatter instead of bulging with 800 scraps of scribbled on paper. All of that said, yes, I rather imagine having such a gadget will allow me to be profoundly annoying as well.

Parents and friends coming to the show on saturday -- that should be interesting -- also I sent out a blast email to a bunch of you about it the other day -- did you get it? Because I'm worried it didn't actually go out (Yahoo Mail is a little spastic), and there's one person on the list I _have_ to get to the show, and I need to know if he got the invite. Thanks.

Oh and I'm not doing the Streetcar scene in class, as my scene partner just got asked not to come back. So I have to find a new scene partner and a new scene on Monday. Feh.
