- Talked to Patty this morning! 'Twas good, but as ever, an hour a week with her away so long is really hard, but we both got letters from each other this week, so that was good.

- Work is being irksome.

- Torchwood picnic, which led to a hilarious discussion about why isn't this fandom crazier. Maybe I've been spoiled by all the batshit in HP, but seriously, where are the astral plane marriages to Owen and the reincarnations of Jack's dead wives? Bring me some Fandom Wank quality crazy, people!

- Meanwhile, Borders has the previously impossible to find Torchwood novels. It's worth noting that the one with Ianto on the cover is sold out at 34th and 7th as of my purchase of it (figured, get the one with the fewest available copies first) and there are the most of the one with Owen on the cover. Oh, fandom!

- There may be Jack/Annie porn being written. Maybe. It's sort of kicking around my head and is turning out to be more revelatory about Jack than Annie. I suppose that's not surprising as he's the crazy one.
Title: A Deck of Ten Billion Cards
Rating: R
Pairing: Jack/Annie (OFC)
Spoilers: nothing -- this takes place in 1919/1920 and is, if we have any canon for that era, AU.
Author's notes: Written to Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap (I blame [livejournal.com profile] curseangel's fanmix) on repeat. Encouraged by [livejournal.com profile] airspaniel and [livejournal.com profile] redstapler and [livejournal.com profile] marchek. If you haven't met Annie yet, she's from here. You don't need to read that to get this, but you really, really should.

Aside from his wedding vows, Jack never promises Annie anything )
