- Stuck in the middle of like a bazillion pieces of writing.

- Doing other work now.

- I really need to let myself actually be engaging the Patty countdown.

- We are having tech fail -- she's having problems with her laptop, ipod and Nook. I meanwhile can't find my fucking iPod.

- Ugly scarf: http://yfrog.com/h779853133j Scarf aside, gosh, I look cute. Sorry, I have to be vain when I've not had Patty around to remind me that I actually succeed well amongst the other humans.

- Twitpic was made of so much fail today.

- RSVP'd for a bridal shower we were invited to. Have I mentioned this? We got the invite, and it's a friend of Patty's I've only met once, and I literally was like "wait, why am I invited, this is for girls?" And then I was like "Oh, I'm just confused again." I've never actually been to a bridal shower. I hear there are terrifying games involved.

IT'S NOT A HAT. IT'S A PRACTICE BOUQUET DAMMIT.

The evolution into hat speaks of casual social cruelty.

This is a really interesting opinion.

I have a very different experience. As a child I grew up with the practice of making it as a hat, and it was explained to me as a way to honor the guest. I really loved making the hats and wore one at my bridal shower, as I expected. It was nice for me to have that expectation fulfilled.

Could the difference perhaps be regional?
