Okay, so a few days ago, someone in Glee fandom tracked down a particular scarf that was used on the show that I wanted.

It was from last season at Old Navy, and it was online on mark down for $4.97.

I ordered it, paid twice as much for shipping, and was amused.

Then I realized it was being shipped via FedEx. This is a problem because FedEx can't deliver to our apartment -- we don't have a buzzer.

So I called FedEx to either have it held at a center or delivered to my parents' house instead. They said they could not do this and I'd have to call the Gap for permission. Oh right, Old Navy is owned by the Gap. Lolarious.

Anyway, I call the fucking Gap, they call FedEx while I'm on hold and say it will be delivered to my parents house on Tuesday.

Which is why I was more than a tiny bit boggled when it showed up yesterday, at our house, in our USPS mailbox where it shouldn't have been able to get.

So I am glad that worked, but lolarious scarf is lolarious. Also, HOW did that work?

Not to ruin the magic, but there's a FedEx service called SmartPost where they hand the package off to the local post office for final delivery. Potentially they used that? Or it was just lolarious magic. :)

Nope, checked the bag, also:

the last communication I had from them and the package tracking confirmed it was being delivered to my parent's flat today.

I mean whatever thing they did that secretly makes sense to them, I'm all for, but I remain puzzled (also, I want to figure it out since there's this whole thing where getting packages here is hard).
