Apr. 19th, 2011 01:01 pmOMG, Doctor Who this weekend!
And Torchwood casting spoilers!
And, dude, am I the only person watching Game of Thrones who hasn't read it? Which makes it all weird, because my lens is not anyone's I know.
When does new Sherlock season happen? It like White Collar is the show that's really shiny for me in short bursts and then I forget about it completely.

Date: 2011-04-19 05:08 pm (UTC)Because I'd love to hear your take (or anyone's, but you're a good writer) on the series with a viewpoint that I can't share. (I almost enjoyed reading the folks at BSC (I think) where a team of two, one who's read it, one who hasn't, are going through the book, but at a pace of one chapter per month or so, I'm finding it not worth the bother.)
Although, I have to say, even knowing how the first episode would end (once that particular scene started up), it was still powerful. The power of the cliffhanger, I suppose.

Date: 2011-04-19 05:39 pm (UTC)I'll have to make sure not to mention that.
(I also find myself wondering what you consider THE spoiler, because there's a lot of potential spoilers that you could be refering to, emotionally, plot-wise and otherwise. That's what happens in big books.)

Date: 2011-04-19 09:25 pm (UTC)Yeah, it would suck if that got ruined for her.
(I'm 99% sure I know which spoiler you're talking about. And glad I read the book a couple years ago, and so can't be spoiled.)

Date: 2011-04-19 05:55 pm (UTC)When I said this last night to a friend in response to his adjuration to watch the series, he called into question my literary determination (said, "Oh, so you can't handle a slow burn?"), which really made me angry, because I read Latin and Greek texts for a living. I don't think my literary determination can be impeached, considering!
