Despite having a lot of cranky lately about people NOT getting the the genderqueer, dresses!

Specifically, dresses from Trashy Diva, which I seem to buy specifically because they are such performative feminity I feel like it's TOTALLY okay for me to wear them and feel like I'm in drag, because how could dresses look like this and have that not be the point.

So, I am totally getting this: http://www.trashydiva.com/trashydiva/springrayon1/SADIESLAPANDTICKLE.jpg

I'm trying to decide if I should also get it in: http://www.trashydiva.com/trashydiva/olivine/sadieRUFFLEolivineFLORAL.html

Aren't they RIDICULOUS?

They're gorgeous. Unfortunately, they would never suit my body type, but I'm glad you can wear them. :)

(Um... also, did you tell me which photo/s you want yet?)

I hate to even link this to you since it's gone, but this dress reminded me of you (and I love it, but not $175 worth) and there are lots of good things there if you haven't been to that site.

I love both of those dresses. Ridiculously yummy, yes.

*envies* Those are both gorgeous. I love a good retro-style frock.

I LOVE that tailoring. Glad to see they have them in solids. I have a weird aversion to prints on clothing, unless it is something exceedingly small and subtle, like dots or checks. Oddly, the one print I would go for would be the cherry print Sweetie dress. Go fig...

Now those shoes, OTOH... :0

I want ALL the SHOES!

Wow those are beautiful! um... I'd say if you have the cash, hells yes, bet both, the green is amazing! if you think it will look good on you - go for it! Damn! They are both stunning.

Oh, those are great! Something about the half ruffle/ half no ruffle reminds me of Kurt's Victor/Victoria outfit in Glee too.

I'm a budding sewist myself (and as such obsess much more about clothes then I ever have in my life), and I almost adore this dress. I adore each half of that dress, but I wish that each half of the dress was an entire dress on it's own. I love ruffles and I love an A-line skirt, but the two together looks so...well, like they sewed two dresses together. Still, it's a pretty dress (both halves of it!), and I adore the bodice and neckline.

I can't decide which half of the dress I like more, and I can't decide which print I like more. :D

If you get it, you need to post a picture so we can see it on a person!

Ridiculously awesome, especially the green one.

Aha! Yes. Love em. I reckon the pink one is way more drag than the green one, although I find the combination of colours on the green one more aesthetically pleasing.

I do not understand the half-ruffles! But I kind of enjoy them!

They're both gorgeous, I think the pink would be more safe and the green more unique color that most women don't try to wear enough.

I wish I could wear something like this but sadly my frame is too large for it to look good.

Buy it, wear it, take a pic and let me have cute dress envy.

I vote green!

(Coincidentally, I'm wearing my own Trashy Diva dress today.)

Hmm, I must be a throwback - I think that they are Really Cool. I like the pink one better but that's thinking about what would look good on ME LOL! YOU would carry off either one with effortless style. And actually, I really like the asymmetric lines of the dress. And one more thing - I, too, am hoping to see a picture when you wear one of them.

If one is going to wear a dress, it SHOULD be a dress that says "FEMALE" in big letters. Otherwise what's the point?

I slightly prefer the olive to the peach, but both are lovely retro prints. The ruffle is adorably absurd, but there'd be no point to me wearing it sitting down. Damn, just looking at their stuff is making me want to design jewelry to go with their dresses.
