Just because really smart kids are frequently challening to teach and raise, does not mean every kid, whose parents think they are a handful and foster conditions that make them more of a handful, is a fucking genius. But then of course in America everyone wants their kid to be a genius, so why the hell not let them get away with all sorts of crap and then be all hippy dippy about it to prove that they unique and evolutionarily advanced. True -- I'd say let's find some nice older folks who have five or six successful and happy kids and grandkids of their own -- the proof, is after all, in the pudding.
