Mar. 31st, 2006 12:52 pmEvents of the day make it seem as if I am not getting better, and will have to get tests done. I'm pretty fucking alarmed, but also trying to figure out why this whole thing is making me so hysterical.
Meanwhile, the window people _swear_ they're coming on Tuesday. We'll see.

Date: 2006-03-31 07:53 pm (UTC)If miso sits with you, it's a good idea. If it sluices through like a Canadian luge team, it's a bad idea. The broth part is good; the soy, iffy. When I am sick like that I sometimes crave it - the saltiness is also good for you.
You can cook the rice in extra broth so it's really wet. Also get no-fat chicken broth if you don't want vegetable, as any greasiness might aggravate things.
Other things you can try: Saltines with a scrape of jelly, and bananas, if you can stand them. They are mild and nonacidic and the potassium in them will help rebalance your system.
Things you can look forward to when your system is slightly more stable and you are bored to tears with toast and applesauce: peanut butter on toast, and avocado sushi (potassium, rice, nori = good).
I'm sorry you're still miserable. Argh.
