Completely unrelated, but just as much up my nose: Ugh, I hate when gender norms amongst reenactors bite me. I'm just trying to avoid having to make my own breeches, but a woman? in breeches? horror! I may have to make my own. Am annoyed.

America needs to grow up. I'm sick of being The Nation of Tina the Troubled Teen.
Also, my mother never, ever put me before her husband for anything, ever, at all. And we all know how I turned out. Which is to say, not too badly, but probably more on my own than anyone should be.
