I just saw Notes on a Scandal. I _loathed_ it. I feel like it took a little piece of my soul I will never ever get back. Ugh ugh ugh.

To be fair, the child with Down's comes straight from the novel, though of course that doesn't mean Marber couldn't have eliminated that detail (unless Zoe Heller was in a position to veto such a change).

I'm disappointed to hear it was so terrible, but somehow, not all that surprised.

It was really well done. I just hated every second of my existence while in the theater.
