I was really hoping this wasn't going to receive such interesting reviews, as I'm not so into gore, but was already leaning towards seeing it. Looks like I'm seeing it.

Nope. That's Christian Coulson, who isn't in the Hannibal thing.

I thought for a second he looked like him.

Oh. Fudge. I wanted this to get panned, for a variety of reasons. And, wow, I can barely handle gore at all. And now... *curses*

Thanks for the link!

I really didn't want to like this movie; I adored Silence of the Lambs, but Hannibal (both the book and the movie) was so terrible I wanted to throw Harris over entirely.

But, damn, now it looks like he's gone and gotten interesting again.

i hope it's better than the book.

am i completely psychotic for having almost always sympathized with Dr. Lecter? i've read all those books and he's never scared me. i kind of felt sorry for him while he was caged.

I didn't so much sympathize with him as much as I aspired to be worthy of his respect. (or at the very least, not be worthy of his contempt, and thus fodder for her larder)

And people think I have issues because of my Snape thing.

I'm one of the few people who liked Hannibal, the book more than the movie. (I honestly thought that the movie wimped out at the end, although I also had trouble seeing how it could do justice to the book. The shots of Florence were wonderful though) Red Dragon, not as much. When I heard about this, I picked up the book and thumbed through it and did not find myself reading 50 pages worth in the store as I did with Hannibal so I was prepared to write it off.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can now. So, it looks like it's off to the theater for me alone this weekend, as I'm quite certain [livejournal.com profile] lkell would rather do anything than watch this film.
