Yeah, you can shut down the comments, but we can still tell the world you're a bigot who can't construct an argument. One advocates for not paying for you work, the other advocates for not reading it at all.

I've been personally unable to post a comment in response because to be at my Snapely best, I'd have to read each and every word of his diatribe and be witty and vicious in response, but my eyes keep sliding off the horror.

Not at all! You didn't know me when my cosplay of choice was Snape. Which was SO RAD for cons, because I could tell off creepy people and assholes and say I was just being in character. Sadly, cosplaying Jack means I have to be super-gregarious even around people I can't stand.

I'm just glad I was never actually in SFF fandom and now watching people whose books I loved reveal themselves to be utter assholes one by one by one. I'm just observing from the outside, boggling.

Same here. The post just boggled me nine ways around. As the first commenter at the post asked, it was hard to tell how much was him being sarcastic and erudite and how much of it was him being completely bonkers/bigoted.

Then he started to respond to comments...

That was my experience as well. I read a few words in, and my eyes went "nope, hey look at that icon over there." Tried again, no luck.

Then I realized: wait, shit comes out, it doesn't go in!

I thought it was common knowledge, but because I'm usually the last to know.

I believe at one point he compared homosexuality with eating ones own arm. Or, I may be mistaken. He may have compared incest to eating one's own arm, and elsewhere compared homosexuality to incest. Or something.

I stung him once. I wonder if it's worth seeing if I can find it.
