You know what to do. :)

(Also, why do I share? John C Wright is a SF/F pro, and considering most of the consumers of SF/F I know are LGBTQ or allies, I thought you might want to know whose books not to buy).

Yeah, you can shut down the comments, but we can still tell the world you're a bigot who can't construct an argument. One advocates for not paying for you work, the other advocates for not reading it at all.

Thanks for playing. Also, I heard scads of people emailed Tor.

I agree with you about _American Gods_. One of my degrees deals heavily in religious iconography and practice, and I think he did well. He (mostly) didn't say anything that made me go, "Wow! So you completely misunderstood that whole culture and religion." I think that you're right - it's about what happens when cultures fade away.

If you want to talk about it when you're done - I would totally love to! It's a great book.

Ooh! I'm pretty ignorant to it all, so I probably have a different perspective reading it. It's such a freaking cool idea, though, I love it. I've never read any NG before this - just saw a few interviews with him and thought "wow, he's seems like a really smart and nice guy!" and decided I should. I've been so busy as of late it's been a slow read, but that's probably a good thing since I start skimming when I down books too quickly, and there's too much good detail to miss here.
