here, have some fail
Oct. 12th, 2009 06:37 pmApparently women and queers are ruining SF.
Torchwood gets a not insignificant amount of text, and, sadly, Dirk Benedict is referenced. If you're thinking this can't end well, you'd be right.
Maybe I'll actually pick it apart for your viewing pleasure later. But maybe I'll actually have something more useful to do instead, like ruining the genre with my homosexual girl-bits or the cock in my dresser drawer or something.
Tell me, SF-ruiners, what's on your agenda today?

Date: 2009-10-13 05:11 pm (UTC)Torquere, one of the few houses that handles lesbian work, says the f/f stories sell about 1/10-1/2 the numbers the m/m does. And my numbers bear this out at 1/2 to 1/3.
Ellora's Cave has just started taking girls again, saying they'll give it a shot on a trial basis. But they aren't expecting much.
Then again, according to my personal sales numbers, straight couples sell about 150 copies to every 900 my gay couples do. (The menage story is even more pathetic)
Write your lesbian mermaid novel. It sounds terrific.
