About gay marriage: here in Argentina, the first marriage was going to be on December 1, but the city government got its corrupted paw in between and now the whole thing is on the air. Politic stuff: the Governor was ok with it (albeit reluctantly; he said he didn't support it but wasn't going to oppose either), then another politician of his party said in a popular interview show that he was totally against it and didn't agree with this posture, and oh guess what: the very next day it was pulled off.
We do have civil union for both gay and straight people here, but this is getting tiresome. Judges have already said our Constitution doesn't have anything on it that prevents gay marriage, so it's the same old bullshit. They don't allow it because they don't want to.
