That said, I'm still beating my head against the thing, because I think the pairing and the story make sense and that it should be possible to tell a good story that isn't faily. So, if you're tuned in to Covert Affairs, and particularly if you're viewing it from a living with disabilities perspective, and have a comment about what they are doing right or wrong with Auggie (aside from the actor not actually being blind, since that's a perfectly reasonable topic for conversation, but one that won't help me solve this story) that you'd like to share, I am so all ears. Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

(Also, I think half the time he makes Jack look like an unthinking idiot. Which he is maybe a quarter of the time, but not half.)
I want Torchwood to continue to be awesome, and I'm worried that American cable will cause RTD to head more in the slick, badly-plotted, CSI/Miami-Vice sort of popcorn+special effects direction, where I'd prefer to see something on the level of "Mad Men" or "The Wire". (Not in terms of theme, but in terms of OMGTHESTORY.)
ETA to add/clarify:
that interview is not necessarily helping my faith that he is producing something on the level of Mad Men awesome. He's just doing a lot of "it's awesome, we're not telling you anything."Finished article, have slightly more hope. Putting faith in Jane Espenson, who wrote some of the best Buffy eps of all seasons, as well as Julie Gardner...no subject
