two unrelated but quasi-pressing questions

I sent my taxes in on the afternoon the 15th. How long should I expect it to take for them to deposit my checks -- i.e., when should I worry they didn't get it? (added: I owed them money... I'm not looking ofr my refund, I want to make sure they got my payment).

If I were going to pull a directing resume out of my ass (I've actually been an AD on a couple of stage things), can anyone point me to a good format, or a tip on how to do one with little-no credits... it's nothing pressing, this is just something I want to try my hand at and I see an opportunity. (if I had enough hair, I'd hide behind it, but let's get real).

You doing direct deposit?

I telefiled state and it took four days. Federal I did by mail, direct deposit, and it took about three weeks. You can go to the irs.gov website and click "Where's My Return?" to track it! That will tell you if they even got it.

Last time I owed the check went through in about two weeks. The feds like their money deposited and collecting interest quickly.

Put down NIDA stuff for sure that you directed, you can put down extensive "workshop" experience. It's also good to put down all your stage managing experience, tech experience, and you can put down some choice acting roles (but no more than a few, along with "selected credits" etc) to show that you've been through the whole mill. Mostly the layouts I've seen are fairly similar to acting resumes. But it depends on the project . . some things will want to see whole show proposals before they'll hire you, some will just need an interview. They should specify though how much material they need.
