I'm fascinated that he thinks the relevant facts for brain structures are about how society values this activity, not about the experience of the people do it. But that sort of sums up all the fail right there, doesn't it? I mean, I was expecting the "men like lesbians, it must be the same thing when women like gay guys" thing, but even that reductive generalization is at least related to why women do it and not what other people think of it. I haven't been following all this very much, but I'm sure someone has mentioned how female desire is ignored and trivialized. So possibly lesbian porn doesn't make people freak out because it's about women performing for a male audience, and it does freak people out to think about women being interested in two men having sex because people freak out when women enjoy sex. I am sure more than one person must have said something along those lines before.

WHAT?! I have never in my life heard that comparison. I once found myself in a discussion with a bunch of guys talking about their lesbian fetish, and when I, a (primarily) heterosexual female attempted to liken it with a female fascination of gay male sex, I was told that women--again, which I am--don't think that way. I was told that I don't like what I think I like. When I find myself in those situations I'm usually too floored by the other person's presumptuousness to recover in the conversation.

I didn't read the whole post or the whole thread, neither the time nor the energy right now, but I'm assuming this particular instance is more a case of sheer ignorance on the original poster's part than actual hate?
